CHAPTER TWELVE

Pete took her shower first, not allowing Dominic to take one with her or she said they would never leave the room. He really didn’t think that was such a bad plan, he told her. He could very well stay in this room with her for a few hundred centuries, but the others were waiting on them.

Dominic gave her one of his shirts to wear, but there was nothing they could do about her panties so she ended up in a pair of his boxer briefs. They were miles too big for her. He seemed to take special pride in that, because of him, she had no underclothes. She continued to glare at him every time he grinned at her.

When they walked into the kitchen, everyone turned to them. Pete, as she had asked him to call her around the others for now, stepped behind Dominic to hide from the group gathered there. Dominic simply reached behind him, pulled her into the front of him, and kissed her hard on her neck.

Dominic looked directly at Aaron and said to the room in general, “I’ve...we’ve mated and bonded. She is my mate. As my master, I ask for your blessings.”

A mated vampire couple, Dominic had explained when she had asked, meant that they had only had sex. Couples could and did live for centuries like that, never taking blood from the other. The non-vampire of them, most of the time a human, would never age, but they could die if mortally injured. The blood exchange was what bonded them both mentally and physically, and also made them both vampires.

“Welcome to my Kiss, Piccadilly Fresno Bartholomew.” Aaron stood and embraced Pete with a kiss to each cheek. Aaron then did the same with Dominic.

Pete glared at Aaron first, then at Dominic. Dominic flushed and glared at Aaron as well.

“Don’t be mad at Aaron. He means well. He needed as many details about you as he could get...I told him everything so he could get as much information about your family as he could. I didn’t know he was going to blab it to everyone and his brother.”

She was embarrassed, not mad at him. Dominic seemed to realize this, kissed her quickly on her nose, and grinned like a loon. She so wanted to smack him silly.

“Poo on them, all men can be such asses sometimes. I think it’s a perfectly lovely name. Come now, meet the rest of your new family, dear. I’m Elizabeth; this is my mate Phillip. We’re Mel’s and Shade’s grandparents. Shade is our son’s daughter, who is no longer with us. This is Savannah and James, they are Mel’s parents and Savannah is our daughter. Colin and Shade you have met. Duncan is the nicest man I’ve ever known, but he claims that he knows you best of all. This is Penny. She is the most wonderful cook. Speaking of which, you must be starved. Let’s get you some food while we talk.”

They had to adjourn to the dining room as the women had to eat.
